The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, demons, and dark forces growing in influence within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to undertake their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might appear out of place, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to go next after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and fled to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their position as important members in the powerful family could assist the party access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This means them little choice but to travel to the northern region in search of the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Fans can look forward to learning which players will be where in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
