Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
